So I know it seems like I have been M-I-A but I am back and so happy to share this project with you all. There is no project that is too small or too big for me. This particular one is a beautiful apartment in the Country Club Plaza. I would say that 65% of this apartment was done under $2500.00! With both of these clients extremely busy and recently have moved into their apartment they gave me full creative freedom. Which is at times very rare. They did however communicate with me that they wanted their home to flow well and look a little more spacious. When you’re working with smaller spaces a little goes a long way. With the neutral base of the apartment using mainly light hues will make a room appear larger. Throw in a few darker hues to add pop. While you are at it go ahead and add mirrors and that will definitely give the illusion of a larger space. Mirrors help by reflecting and spreading natural and artificial light by brightening the overall mood. Adding rugs also set boundaries and grounds your furniture. They also help by dividing two rooms that are in tandem. For this particular project a bigger rug was utilized especially since the bigger piece of the furniture grouping is against the wall. Only the front legs of the sofa are sitting on the rug. While the chairs are completing grounded on the rug to create a visually bigger space. There are different variations on what size of rug to use but in the end the rug should be proportional to the space. Enjoy!

This project was given to Josh on short notice and he knocked it out of the park. Finding time to design, purchase and decorate was just not in the cards and so Josh took all the stress and worry off the table. From negotiating price on pieces to running by when convenient to show options for art and furniture…we really felt spoiled. Josh was able to make our place look and feel like home in just a couple of weeks. He nailed the style and luxurious mid century modern feel we desired all within our budget.
Josh was so professional and focused on exceeding our expectations and I’m so happy we decided to hire him for the job. Some of the art pieces he found for us have already appreciated in value. He really has great connections in the community and eye for detail that makes a place pop. I highly recommend hiring Josh/1 Dapper Latino for your next project
Thank you so much for the kind review Peter! It was such a pleasure working with you both!
